Part 1- opeining ports
You need to open ports on any firewalls you have! Too open your windows firewall go into controll panel and click search, then search firewall. Then click on windows firewall and press properties or somthing along those lines. Now on my computer, vista it will say exceptions, yours may be different just look thrugh the tabs till you see a list of games. Click on bf1942 if there is a lot of bf1942 games it doesn't matter which one you pick, it will still open the ports!
Click add port then it will say somthing like this...
For name it doesn't matter what you put, i put somthing like OIJdfjdkf
You get the port number from the table, just fill it out. it will take a while!
On the table eg port 14567 you will click UDP then ok....
